Event Details
Learn about Galileo as an individual, particularly about his relationship with his daughter and how her support helped Galileo's work and his struggles against the inquisition. This talk will also discuss the four largest moons of Jupiter, the significance of their discovery for science and humanity's understanding of the cosmos. As well, a brief discussion about the current NASA and ESA robotic journeys to Europa and some of the other moons, and why these missions are so important now and what we might expect to learn from them.
